Edgmond Hall welcomes Youth Groups, and can offer a number of residential (and
day visit) experiences in support of programmes.
High quality provision is dependent on good planning and communication involving
all participants – young people, group leaders, and centre staff. We enjoy
working closely with all participants at all stages of the course.
Accommodation options (residential courses)
a. Main centre accommodation for up to 46 young people plus 6 leaders
b. Cottage accommodation for a total of up to 12 people (wheelchair accessible).
Activities available include:
- Team Building and Problem Solving
- Orienteering
- Night walk and camp fire
- Hill Walking
- Map skills
- Environmental projects e.g. pond creation, tree planting
- Art and Sole – creative use of the environment.
- Travelogue – media report on the village of Edgmond.
Other activities/modules may be requested, or programmes can be delivered by
specialists using Edgmond Hall as a venue, for example, art, design or media specialists
could be employed; First aid or Health and Safety courses could be organised;
rock climbing, canoeing, dry slope skiing etc. arranged.
